Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the importance of promoting local manufacturing and strengthening citizen participation during his latest Mann Ki Baat address on 26 April 2026.
In his message, the Prime Minister encouraged people across the country to actively support the “Vocal for Local” initiative by choosing locally produced goods and contributing to India’s economic growth. He emphasized that public participation plays a crucial role in nation-building and in strengthening India’s self-reliance efforts.
He also appreciated the role of citizens in social initiatives and development activities taking place across different parts of the country, noting that collective efforts can accelerate progress in multiple sectors.
